Didn't realize the pic was so bad, it's basically this: http://www.fender.com/en-CA/squier/basses/jazz-bass/affinity-jazz-bass-rosewood-fingerboard-black/

Never picked up a bass before but learnt an easy one from Queen (Under Pressure), within a few minutes. Bought it for fun and I want to make my own "music" while playing all the parts. I'm greedy like that plus learning new things keeps the brain active and helps my ADD...

So I added my first ever bass track to a song of mine... I missed a few notes and not smooth... any other feedback would be really appreciated.

First thing I noticed when I switched from guitar to bass was how tuned into the guitar sound I was. The Bass it seems I’ve hardly even noticed all this time. Identifying with the rhythm and placing the notes right where they need to be has been my goal here.

Second, is my reach, particularly the left hand, getting there in time had been a challenge in the beginning and has become more natural the longer I play the instrument. This is evident when I pick the 6 string up after playing the bass for like a month straight, I’m actually find myself over-reaching on it now. :)

I’ve had my Ibanez bass and Fender amp and wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Besides musicians here in the Atlanta area literally have this attitude: “You play guitar? Yeah so does a million other people. What? you play Bass? Well c’mon over man!”

Congrats on your new baby. Bass guitar (and double bass) is probably one of the funniest instruments. Enjoy!

BTW the link isn't working.
