Anybody know any easy 2 chord songs to help teach younger players about chord changes? Sometimes 3 chords are just too much to handle.

There's a good lesson on Horse with No Name on here...see lessons for beginners.

That's one!

A lot of surf music such as Miserlou, Surfrider, Endless Summer, Pipeline, Mr. Moto, Wipeout and Baja are easy to play although they have 3 to 5 chords they are very basic. Cowabonga Baby!

Happy Sunsets!

I will try to keep all those in mind. I have used the Horse with no name and it seems to be one for the older generation, but may have to stick with Twinkle, or He's Got the Whole world for my younger students. Thanks for all your suggestions.

Not sure if it's a little more difficult than what you are after but look at the "Three Marlenas" lesson on this site. 3 chords but one is just leaving a finger in place in transitioning between D and G chords. I haven't looked at the lesson in a while so I don't remember all the details.

Did anyone mention "Paperback Writer"?

Try David Hodge's lesson on 'For what it's worth'. Very easy two chord song and it's very easy to sing and play at the same time.

All the Lonely People by the Beatles is just Em and C.

I think it's name is "Eleanor Rigby", but yes, it only has those 2 chords.

There's a list here: http://www.drbanjo.com/instructional/instruct04-j-2chords.html

and another here:
