Well, I have it here in the "Guitar World Acoustic" #62 with Jimmy Page on the cover, in the "New Gear" section they show a "Martin OM-45 GE Guitar" at a whopping $18,500. That's pretty close to 2K, and this is a NEW instrument!!!

Well, now that I read on it says that it costs so much because it's a recreation of Martins 1933 Golden Era series. But it's been altered to sound more modern, they've improved it so it's basically a new instrument. :o

I don't doubt it, but it's a one off, an oddity, a rare collectible, which skews the price.

The OM-42 ltd edition has a list of $7500.

I have also seen a fair amount of "collectible" guitars on eBay. That would be a good source to find what you are looking for, while staying under the $20K level!
