Amp Effects question

Hi, this is my first post! I recently got a new amp after ditching the crappy amp that came with the player pack I got when i first started. My new amp is a VOX Valvetronix. The amp sounds really good, but it comes with alot of effects like auto wah, compressor, phaser, chorus, flanger, tremolo, rotary, delay and reverb that I don't know anything about. Could someone tell me some songs that these effects are used in so i could know how they're supposed to be used? Is there any information out there in general about how to use effects like this?
