Does anyone know of any popular rock or southern rock songs that are beginner friendly? I checked out the lessons and really enjoyed "wish you were here" and "House of the rising sun". I can't play them to speed but I can make them recognizable. It's awesome when a song is simple but sounds like you're really doing something more complicated. I learned some of the song "Nothing Else Matters" and although it was not hard, my kids were like, "wow! When did you learn how to do all that?!" They had the same reaction with "house of the rising sun". Are there any beginner friendly eagle songs? I can't sing so preferably something that would be recognizable without vocals. It doesn't have to be eagles. I'm using an electric. :)

Here's a few topics on Eagles songs from the Easy Songs Database forum:

Led Zeppelin has a song "Over the hills and far away" which has some fairly easy picking at the beginning that sounds so technical but it is so easy to play.

I started playing about 3 months ago and i have picked it up in no time but i play it on a strat but it would sound so much better on a les paul.

Take It Easy, or Lyin' Eyes are both easy enough but sound harder than they are.

Best,

Try as I might I still can't get the strum or timing for Take It Easy!

Best of my Love by the Eagles. Wicked easy song to play, just a few chords and relatively noticiable without vocals.

Umm, "Already Gone" is easier than either of those. 3 chords, usually G-D-C, ad infinitum.

Ever since they dumped the great Don Felder, I've boycotted everything Eagles. Man, the guy was the most under rated guitarist around and he WAS the Eagles sound. It was like when Chicago dumped Danny Seraphine, who literally kept them together during the drug years.

What a shame.
