Hi,

I'd like to compose a list of things to ask potential teachers. I'm going to be taking some lessons soon, and there are a few teachers in my area. As well as taking some free starter lessons with them, i'd like to know your advice on what to ask them.

Thanks.
Mart.

you may want to start where you as a student want to go and the direction you would like to persue. Tell the instructor where you want to go and see if he/she can help you attain these goals. I am in the same boat, but I know where I want to get lessons, it is just finding an opening for the class.

There is a good article right here on guitarnoise about interviewing a teacher.
