So, not having much time to practice, I have been paying attention to songs that I am listening to. I pick out the guitar parts, and picture the strumming pattern.
I was listening to Loser by Beck, and was wondering what he was doing to make the sound at the beginning. It sounds like he is dragging a pick down the Low-E string. Any thoughts?

It's just a slide. The song is played in dropped D.
One chord is fine.
Two you're pushing it.
Three and you're into jazz.
