Hi,
Any suggestions on really good books for learning to play acoustic rock? (Tab + Standard notation, plus CD and/or DVD).
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
I'm probably in the "intermediate beginner" category.
An oldie:
"The Complete Guitarist" by Russ Shipton.
A four volume set of progressive difficulty. This is also available as an omnibus edition and an accompanying songbook is also available.
Take care.

I used Book 1 of the Russ Shipton series. It was a good introduction to strumming, fingerstyle, and bass strum style. I started Book 2, but it heads off into directions I am not interested in.
Print out David's lessons in the Beginners Songs section, put them in a binder, and you have the best darn acoustic guitar book I have found!
Hey Neztok, where have you been ?
Was that a name change and you were hiding underneath...
I downloaded the chords to som Lynerd Skynerd from guitaretab.com, or maybe it was the Who or Steve Miller and played along with the cds. It was free.
