Post in your best full song to play as a guitar newbie. Mine is Rocky Raccoon by the Beatles. Practicing it helps me alot with changing chords.

Hurt – Johnny Cash

David has an excellent version of it on the home page. :D

Heck, all the songs in the Beginner Songs on the home page!

Man there could literally be a thousand of them posted. But the one that comes to my mind is CCR Bad Moon Rising. D A G chords. Simple and fun to play. :D

Bad Moon Rising's already got a mention, so......

Stand by Me - John Lennon. Lennon uses A, F#m, D and E, but it's easy enough to play in G, Em, C and D - and you can always stick a capo on the second fret if you want to play along with the CD.....

:D :D :D

I learned Leaving on a Jet Plane.

G / / / C / / /
All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go
G / / / C / / /
I'm standing here outside your door
G / / / C / / / D ///////
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
G / / / C / / /
But the dawn is breakin' it's early morn
G / / / C / / /
The taxi's waitin' he's blowin' his horn
G / / / C / / / D ///////
Already I'm so lonesome I could die

Start out with down strums on each slash: D D D D
After you get the basic chord changes down, you can go to a different strumming pattern: D DU U DU (for example)
If you want to get fancy, for the 3rd and 6th lines you can do G em D D7 instead of G C D
