I always liked fur elise. I havent played it lately and believe that its gone from my brain. LOL. But here is my favorite Classical Song to play on the guitar. I usually fingerpick it but thats just a preference, mainly for practice.

Dropped D Tuning - D A D G B E

Canon in D
Johann Pachebel

While we're are on the subject, another great Classical tune is Tchaikovsky 's 1812 Overture.

adios.

Yeah, but dragging the cannon to the gig is a real bummer.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.

Ah, we've moved on a bit since then round here. Wire your pc into the PA and trigger a good cannon sample with a footswitch. Classical guitarists have even progressed to shouting "Bang" at appropriate points hee hee.

Well maybe the cannon is the right instrument to draw a crowd.

not really a classical song but you'll probably like it : pink floyd - is there anybody out there

not too hard and fun to fingerpick and I guess it feels a little bit like you're playing something classical.

The compositions of Matteo Carcassi's Complete Method for Guitar are easy, charming, and standard fare of the student classicaL guitarist. I also favor the Lecciones de Guitarra by Julio Segreras. If you can find them, the works of the Spanish Nationalist Bartolome Calatuyud are well-crafted, lyrical and give you a lot of bang for your buck technique-wise (if that's a word).

If you want to be good, practice. If you want to be great, you must constantly change the way you think.
