Hey board,

I'm trying to learn a sad-yet-cool song called Drink & Cry by Rebel Son and figured out all the chords but one; so I have C, F, D, G, and ?.
Please give it a listen and let me know if you can give me a clue. Or perhaps tell me to get my hearing checked or, better yet, get better speakers! :D

The guitarist starts off with C, goes to F, back to C and at .19 goes to something a step down from C (methinks) then back at .21. He hits the mystery chord
again between .25 and .27. You get the idea. My wife things it's G, but he hits G at .54-.57 and it doesn't match.

I've copied down the lyrics in case you're interested. It's a rough draft, so please forgive the lack of punctuation, capitalization, and whatnot.

Well I'm drunk, cause thats just what I want to be
but a whole shine still, still couldn't kill these mean ol memories
well I'm a tear soaked, heart broke joke and and a pitiful sight to see
But that's alright because tonight might be the last for me

Cause I think I'll drink and cry and wonder why I'm so torn up inside
Gentlemen jack if you can't bring her back or let me make things right
Then i'll think ill try and dry up every bottle of booze in sight
and ill just drink and cry and die tonight

well this 5th of Jim Beam just make make it seem like it ain't really so band
and this 5th of Crown just might drown all the memories of what we had
and this Johnny Walker's red just might kill dead every brain cell making me mad
but all the drink in the world wont give me back the girl who left me sorry and sad

so, i think i'll drink and cry and wonder why im so torn up inside
gentlemen jack if you cant bring her back or let me make things right
then i'll think ill try to dry up every bottle of booze in sight
and i'll just drink and cry and die tonight

That clock strike tells this fool who failed that its nearin closin time
and no more can i see what she's done to me for the tears blinded out my eyes
so cheers here's to the years of sin one last drink before i die
bottoms up so long friend this here's the end good bye

yes i think i'll drink and cry and wonder why im so torn up inside
gentlemen jack if you can't bring her back or let me make things right
then i'll think ill try and dry up every bottle of booze in sight
and i'll just drink and cry and die tonight

Yes, I'll just drink and cry and die tonight.

Namaste.

Unless I'm hearing it wrong, the chord is definitely a G. It could be a G7 but it sounds like a G.

Hope this helps.

Peace
