Lately I'm starting to work on some classical stuff. Some etudes in Fernando Sor op. 60 suggest a specific fingering in which the pinky is used for some notes in the third fret. I didn't notice it and I was using the conventional "one finger, one fret" fingering but I watched several YouTube videos (ie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQ7CzYaDo2I ) and they follow the original fingering.
In this case, is there any advantage in using the original fingering?
Thanks!
