does anyone know a good source to find guitar licks online? i just want to further my practice of scales, lots of people tell me to practice old blues licks but i dont know where to star

I just now typed in 'blues licks' on google. a few dozen sites popped right up. the first one had Clapton's blues shuffle tabbed out. there are all kinds of sites for the blues.

Check your local library for books... there are lots of 'em - or check bookstore/music store if you have a spare $20 to spend.
Anyone have recommendation on a book? Check Amazon for user reviews.
