I often run into posts and articles detailing the benefits of stretching your fingers on and off the guitar, yet little information on the actual exercises seems to be included in most of my findings. Are there ways to stretch your fingers to get them to bend easier (I'm having trouble with a stiff ring finger - getting the tip and not the pad to contact the bass strings)? When I was a kid, it was one of those wierd hand tricks to curl your ring finger down, and the flick the end of your ring finger making it wiggle like a loose spring. It was cool on the school bus, but very not cool during practice time. Any tips? :x

Is what I do and I did help is this-
Put you finger that you want to bend more down as if you were pushing down a string ( Lets say I did it with my ring finer). Put all your other fingers up. When you put you other fingers down put your ring finger up. Keep doing this. The more you do it it will be easier and you can do it faster.
