Are there any recommended finger stretching exercises for beginners during their practicing? I have recently gotten back into playing after a couple year hiatus and using a different method for training in guitar. Unfortunately it does not have any information on stretching and I am having issues with stretching for some of the chords to practice. I know playing is the best practice and I am trying to get at least an hour a day ( broken into 2 30 minute sessions ) in a day but wondering if there were exercises I could incorporate on the neck or off the guitar that may help with finger flexibility?

I wanna Rock N Roll all night... Ahh who am I kidding I'll be in bed at 9 pm....

Thanks I have been doing as much on the guitar as possible and was looking more for items that I may be able to do off the guitar when I am at work and unable to practice on a fret board.

Try finger exercises from the Cowling Institute. It's what I would do if I could be bothered
