The first song I could play was "Schism". My first riff was probably from "Seven Nation Army".

my first full song was jimi hendrix star spangle banner, but my first riff was the starting riff in iron man.

Words be simple, Words be quick, Words resemble walking sticks, Plant them, They will grow, Watch them waver so, I'll always be a word man better than a bird man, I can fly high but I stay in the same sky, For only I Know whats beyond.

The first was, Stevie Ray Vaughans', Crossfire. It was my first tab book and the salesman said this is all you need to play like Stevie......he failed to mention enormous talent. In reality my first anything that actually resembled a tune was, Albert Kings, Born under a Bad Sign......the first two bars.

" I'm not sure what happened, it was tuned when I bought it."

The Jimi Hendrix version of the Star Spangled Banner is like....impossible for a first song. >___>

But yea, I'd like to have a Pink Floyd song be my first song to learn. :)

Very rough versions of all keep in mind... Green Day - Good Riddance, Dust In The Wind - Kansas, and Crooked Teeth - Death Cab for Cutie. Along an amazing rendition of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer learned during the holidays :)

I've just started with a simple version of 'Boulevard of broken dreams' by Green Day. It's mainly E minor,G,D and A chords. Still can't get the chord changes correctly. Hopefully will get it down soon. :)

When you wanna rock hard children, lean on F sharp
