That's a good visual, the doorknob idea. And if the doorknob were really, really loose, you could pull it up, let it drop down, or push it left or right at the same time you're twisting it.

And yah I know what you mean about that strum, like if you were holding a pencil or something. Yah, that works :) It has a soft sorta 'brushy' sound. I do a lot of that on our CDs with the 12 especially because I want it to be there, hearable, but don'lt want it to jump out over the singer(s).
