Ok I'm thoroughly frustrated with my guitar.

I don't have the flexible schedule to really get a teacher.

So I'm needing suggestions on good beginner DVD/Videos.

I've been playing for about 5 months but I'm completely self taught, and I really want to do this the right way.

Keep in mind my goal is metal, but I also understand that in the beginning that takes a back seat to learning proper basics.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Go to a music store and check stuff out, maybe ask if you can see one of their big sheet music catalogs (Warner or Hal Leonard are two of the biggest). Or look online, sheetmusic.com or something like that. Read the descriptions, see what you like.

There's a killer Paul Gilbert DVD that comes with the Ibanez Jam Pack. Funny, good beginner stuff. Don't know if you can buy it separate.
