Hey, I'm still basically a newbie and was looking for some advice. I still definitely need to improve my hand strength and flexibility and my teacher has shown me several good exercises and stretches to do on the guitar, but I was wondering if people have some good exercises to do without a guitar. I spend a lot of time sitting at a desk at work and was wondering if there's anything I could be doing to work on my hand strength and flexibility (i.e. squeeze a ball over & over, or something like that). Anyone have any good exercises that's worked for them?

Be careful with these things. I have the red one, the harder, and I hurt my pinky.
Once time I did read here, I think it was a post by Nick, the best way to strength the fingers is playing or making exercises with the guitar.
