Hi Guys

Yet another newbie.

Wondering if someone can kindly share the strumming pattern for
"Let Her Cry" by Hootie and the blowfish.

Cheers
Vic

You usually find tab on the internet but not strum patterns. It's very difficult for most people to transcribe a strum pattern. It's also very easy to learn the chords and listen to the song and strum along. It would be a good exercise for you to write out the chords if you don't have them memorized, and then strum along any way you want to the songs. Try to match what's going on then try to do something a little different. Your ear will develop quickly with practice. You don't need to match the artist note for note to play the song. Even if there is a lot of finger picking, you can still strum the chords on the beat and the song will sound fine.

Here is the pattern in case anyone else would like to play.

G D Cadd9 G
D-D UUD UDU D-D UUD UDU D --- D UDU D-DUUD UDU

The D --- D UDU pattern for Cadd9 is only played the first time. Later it is replaced by the D-D UUD UDU pattern.

Cheers
