Hi everybody!
First of all, I´m a very beginner with the guitar and also new in this forum. But now that I´ve got the inspiration to learn to play this great instrument, I am asking you for some advice.
How do you play a chord, where there is a vertical (slightly curved) line on one of the frets? I have faced that kind of chords in songs, and don´t know how to play these.

I believe your describing a barre chord. You'll need to use your index finger to "barre" all 6 strings and fret the remaining notes with your other fingers. Takes a while to get all the notes to ring but you get it eventually. I think if you search around the beginners section you'll find a few lessons on Barre chords.
Good luck.
Oh yeah, you must be right. Thanks, dude!
practice slowly when learning barre chords, and don't be afraid of them. you can do it! try to practice two or three daily and build from there.
welcome aboard!
