When I play a note (particularly an open string) and then just let it ring, the note varies slightly and eventually starts to get flatter.
On a decent guitar should the note remain perfect until it dies?

But this set of strings must be the best I've ever had. I don't wnat to lose them.

Plus the only other set of strings I have are Hybrids whereas the current ones are Slinkies. I don't want to change the set up when it's playing so well lately.
