That is a good thing to reread over and over, for me anyway.
It's easy to get caught up in what I want to accomplish. To hear a song and really want to play it, but not be able to yet and then get frusterated and feel like a failure. I'm glad I found this thread, the posts have been encouraging.
:)
All my life I wanted to be somebody. Now I see I should have been more specific.
Puke, there is always hope. :)

Oh yes, that's where I read it! Some good tips are on that site, really. :)
I am maybe only 3 months into playing acoustic guitar now. I feel that i am starting to get a strong hold of a few songs that I have been learning. Alot of the times I will just copy chord progressions of other songs and change the strumming pattern and throw in a palm mute or something and I feel like i have created my own song. You just need to go around and find some songs that are easy for YOU to play and understand. Everyone is different. I was pissed at myself when i couldnt play smells like teen spirit, but you know what...... i cant play any songs well that use power chords yet. I dont have the fingers for it, i'm sure i will adventually develope them though. Find simple songs that are easy for you, and play the hell out of them......you will be happy......"yellow submarine" by the beatles is a simple song to help you learn you chord changes IMO FYI.......Hope you get it and dont give up.....
