Hey...

There are a number of freeware downloadable metronomes out there. All that I've looked at have a very limited range (up to 208 bpm or 240).

Can anyone point me to 1 that can be set at "any" bpm?

Thank

is there really a reason to go faster than 240bpm?

Weird metronome allows for any beat you want, it's extremely tiny, you can basically setup a drum track (which means you could set a distinct beat for the first beat of a measure to help with counting).

But I still gotta say, why faster than 240bpm, at that speed it'd be hard to even tell if you are remaining on beat, are you trying to have a beat for every note you play?

Thanks, I'll try weird metronome. Yes, I usually do 1 note per beat. (I know I shouldn't).

Hope Y'all have a good weekend (lots of practice time)

ditto what Mali said- why do you need it to go faster. You need to start breaking up the beat into eighth notes, sixteenths, triplets etc. not just quarter notes like your doing.

So say start at 80 BPM and play through your scales using just quarter notes (one note/per beat) then try with eighth notes playing two notes per beat and then sixteenths playing four notes per beat.

There are beat boxes designed for drummers that have almost limitless possibilities.
