actually....UPPER east TN.
I am in Kingsport
wondering if anyone would have some sugesstions for instructors in the area. possibly willing to go to Johnson City if I felt it was needed.
I would consider myself "extreme" beginner.
I do know a few chords. I can only tune with a tuner. (not developed much of an "ear" yet)
I can play parts of a few songs and can do a few differnent strum patterns with decent changes between most of the chords.
looking to get a bit of theory thrown in....would maybe like to learn a song or 2....but mostly want to learn how to play guitar.
I have a Sigma DM1-st and a Dillion DR500IX on the way.
I like all styles of music. I really like alot of the new "rock" being done accoustic.
of course...just by my username you can probably guess what I listen to most often!! Jimmy Buffett
with that, comes James Taylor, Jim Croce, etc...
THANKS IN ADVANCE for any imput!!!
Dave
Thanks everyone for looking.
guess thier must be no one else in the area.
guess its time to take a crap shoot in the yellow pages
THANKS AGAIN
I know several great teachers here in Bristol. Call JJ's House of Music, (423) 989-7778. I think Mack Partain still has some openings, and he's excellent. Tell him "Dr. John" told you to call.
:D
