I am looking for a decent mic in the $1-200.00 range (US) to record acoustic and vocals onto a tape four track. Any suggestions? Also, anyone know a good electric guitar and amp? Thanks for the help.

well, id recommed getting two: the Shure SM57: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=home/search/detail/base_pid/270102/ for the acoustic, and the Shure SM58: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=home/search/detail/base_pid/270101/ for vocals. I cant help you with the elec. guitar and amp because you havent given me a price range.

Thanks for the tip. As to the guitar/amp, I have never owned an electric. I would like a decent one, same with the amp. I suppose around $300 or so each?
