Hey, if I don't ask dumb questions, who will?
I did a search here and came up empty.
Tomorrow I am changing strings on my Squire electric.
I have a set of 9's and a set of 10's.
The salesman said some people put one size larger on the 3 highest strings G, B, E.
Later I heard they sell string sets like that.
My idea is a deeper tone on these since they are the easiest to press down anyway.
And I am not into bending, hammering, etc at this time.
Any feedback?

Thats the best thing about strings... you dont like them, change them out!! Thats the way I like my LP set up also.

I agree... put them on and give it a go. Im an absolute advocate of trying all manner of different things.

you might want to try keeping the 9's and putting the heavier basses (D,A,E) on.. gives you a nice rich bottom to mid range sound.
