Hi, I am a beginner at guitars, I want to play progressive metal like Dream Theater and stuff. I need an good teacher near my area. I live in Dix Hills, which is Suffolk County of New York. UNited States.

Unless someone here at GN can recommend someone in your area, I would suggest going to your local music shop and ask if they give lessons or could recommend someone that will suit your style. If not check your phone book.
