Could someone recommend some nice sounding and easy solos for a beginner? Maybe some popular tunes or smth :)

Thanks.

Heh. Thats hard to find. Work hard on any solos you wanna know and they are all easy. So long as you work for a while at them.

Try Hotel California by the eagles. Its kinda hard. I found it challenging.

Many solos start off easy and then get pretty busy. The first part of Europa is good. Also the intro riff to Freebird (ack - did I just say that?) is easy. Many Aerosmith and Stones and Beatles riffs are pretty easy, but they're not true solos.

It's a place to start.

Strange Brew by Cream is a good one. It's fairly short, not fast, and pretty easy to figure out by ear. Plus it sounds cool.

One of the first ones I learned all the way through was the first solo from Knocking on Heavens door by Guns and Roses. Also the intro solo in the Unplugged version of Layla is farely easy.

I'd agree with whoever said the Guns N roses knockin on heavens door solo, the first one is easy, and sounds very pretty.

Birthday by the Beatles.

how about the intro to "And Your Bird Can Sing", Tim - that's a lovely piece of guitarwork, not too hard, and teaches you how to go up the fretboard, and a little about scales as a bonus.........now if I could just work out the weird chords he (George)uses for rhythm.......

Hi-ho silver lining is fairly easy.....Here Comes the Night by Them.....and one you might think is really dificult at first sight (first sound?) but is a lot easier than you think is "More than a Feeling" by Boston.........
