Hi, what are is the meanig of these words i have looked them up and did really get anything for pitch but for octave i got The interval of eight diatonic degrees between two tones of the same name, the higher of which has twice as many vibrations per second as the lower.

Which i dont really understand, so if someone could take the time to explain them i would be very grateful. Thanx dean

Concert A is 440Hz or 440 vibrations per second. Raise that one octave, to the next higher A and that note vibrates at 880Hz, or twice as fast as concert A. Conversely, the next A, lower than concert A vibrates at 220Hz.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?
