Well done mate! And yep, it DOES get easier ... and quicker.

So how does she sound? :)

I believe Pearl Jam put it best when they sang, " Oh I, Oh Oh I'm so Alive, yeah.." :D

Congrats man!
I don't know how you would describe it either as far as knowing when to change them. After playing you kind of get used to how the guitar is sounding. But when you do change them, boy does it sound different. My first set of strings stayed on my guitar for quite a long time and was astonished when they were changed.

Now the next question - telling the difference between different brands, etc! :)

Hehe, funny you should mention that as I just bought a different set of strings for next time. Some Slinkys...

I have noticed the new strings seem stiffer. Also I didn't realize just how grungy my old set had gotten until I compared them next to some new ones. :o
