just installed power tabs but cant hear no sound from the midi file being played,anyone familiar with this software.

Have you tried clicking on the MIDI box at the top of the screen and adjusting the properties?

Are you running windows? If so check to make sure that your midi volume is up and not muted. You do this by going to the volume control panel. It may be under a different name, mine is SW Synth.
