Hi all
I know, another practice schedule post....just want to make sure that I'm not wasting my time :)
Warm up - various exercises
Scales + fretboard - Pentatonic in all keys, learn notes of fretboard
Scales/rythmn
Record new backing track + improvise over
Ear training
Existing repitoire
New repitoire
Cool down
I give more or less time to parts as i feel I need them and will build on all (add new scales etc once proficient in present ones)
Is there anything I'm missing or could expand on?
Advice/comments greatly appreciated :)
Thanks
Neil
Being that there's a "warm up" and a "cool down", it seems that this is all in a single day's practice. How long is this practice session?

I haven't written down set times but minimum 1 hour daily - spending more time on what I feel I need to practice on in that session (maybe skipping other parts to 'double up' on things....
if you are doing that in only an hour, you might want to focus it more.
maybe spend three days a week focused on technique and theory and the rest on jamming or vice versa
for warmups run down the whole tone scales and get some alternate picking exercises.
you could also maybe spend one day a week taking a break and studying some theory
what kind of music do you like to play?

OK that makes sense to split it and concentrate on certain aspects for longer.
I like rock/blues
