from what i know this is a very common problem.
when i bought the guitar today (shes beautiful) i replaced the strings.
when i tired to tune it, it would quickly come out of tune as soon as i moved to a new string.
i then tighted the springs in the back of the guitar almost as tight as possible.
and it worked well.
but it still (much slower though) comes out of tune
thanks for all your help
That guitar has one of those Floyd Rose trem bridges on it, doesn't it?
You're right, lots of people get headaches while re-stringing them.
Take a look at this thread.
I wrapped a newspaper ’round my head
So I looked like I was deep
i figured it out.
i just tightened the springs more
thank you
You might wanna try...
...grabbing ahold of each new string over the 12th fret just like yer grabbin' a bow string to launch an arrow...and pull it back and forth as each one is put on the guitar. Don't be shy about pullin' em, either! Then tune up again. Then do MANY bends per string once they are all on and retune again.
Hope this helps!
