Either play guitar or become a car thief! LOL!

When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming......
like the passengers in his car.

Chris Cornell's solo acoustic sessions got me into guitar!

Same here! 8)

 I believe you made the better choice. The high road usually is.

It was my wife's idea. She thought I needed a hobby. She didn't think that drinking was a very constructive hobby.

I didn't have the voice to sing, so I decided playing was teh next best thing. That and a really cute guitar.

I was sick of just sitting there at night watching TV, so I took up the guitar and I'm glad I did!

Like Barnabus, it was something I always wanted to do.

Just took me 38 years to get round to it.

Started about 16 months ago and I'm lovin' it.

Wish I'd have started years ago.

8)

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.
It was them that turned me to drink.

Well, it's probably just simply my love for music. I loved Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd a lot since last March or so, but the love kept growing and growing. Around the month of December I just HAD to learn guitar, so I got one in January...and here I am, on March 24th, still playing, improving more everyday, and appreciating Hendrix and the Floyd even more.

Music=love

Strings.

That was one thing which my Air Guitar didn't have. (and hasn't got even now).

But playing the air guitar is the best. Yesterday, I got the Gibson LP 60s vintage neck and the SJ-200 reissue.

I'm not sure exactly why I started, it was so long ago. I was 16 and it seemed cool I guess. :? I know why I keep playing though. It's fun! :D

I wanted to learn a music instrument and guitar was the best choice. There aren't any musicians in my family and I'm the closest to being one so far.

it was my brother. he started playing when he was about nine. the first week i sat and listened to him, he didn't sound very good, then a little while later, there was this thickness in the room every time he played, like the air was full of something. i'm still not sure what that something was, but if there is a god, that is the experience you'd feel, and if there isn't, that's the feeling you get when there is a meaning to our existence. i'd sit there and listen, and there was a part of me that said that this was what i'd have to do.
we don't always get along. in fact, that's the closest thing to what we don't do, but music is like a language that twins speak or something when we communicate. i've spent a decade trying to get to that feeling, and i'm pretty sure i'll never reach that point, but i'll be damned if i don't spend the rest of my life trying.
i wouldn't even be saying this to the world if i wasn't hammered. it's weird. i hate pretty much everything else he says to me, but music.... music is soul. music is love. music is reason.

First and foremost I love to sing. Ever since I was a young girl it's been my outlet and source of inspiration. I want to create a fuller sound, so that it's not just my voice.

So I picked up the guitar to accompany me.
