Jealous Guy springs to mind, and if you add E and E7 to those, you can do House Of The Rising Sun and, oooh, about a few thousand others! Try easy songs - there's bound to be a few in there. My Girl is in there somewhere.

Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" can be played to the exact chord progression of "Wonderwall".

There's also "Bonnie and Clyde" by Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Bardot, which is also the exact same progression from the verse:

I was going to write the same thing as Progressions did being a GD fan.

However there is one more song that is entirely based on 'Wonderwall' progression. This is 'Writing to Reach You' by Travis.

Funny thing is that Travis admitted that he has taken the exact chords from Wonderwall and even mentions it in the song metaphorically - 'What's a Wonderwall anyway' !

Have fun playing. This chord progression is simple and very catchy.

Heh, I knew there was a Travis song with the same chords but I don't know Travis so I didn't remember what it was. If you search Youtube I believe I've seen a video that mashes up all three songs.

Its a very popular mashup named Boulevard of Broken Songs by Dean Gray from the album American Edit. I have that album and all other tracks are great as well.

Any GD fan needs to have it. Its available for free download on Dean Gray's website.

The rest of oasis springs to mind. Try 'last kiss' for a very repetitive but easy tune.

Ha Ha, you're right.

I never liked Oasis music. Too much out of the world lyrics (bizzare to be fair..) and music that is same in one song or the other in some way (atleast to me).

I can agree with that up to a point - but at least Oasis always sounded like OASIS. Most other bands of the 80's/90's didn't even acknowledge the existence of other bands - Oasis always admitted they were highly influenced by the Beatles, but they don't sound like a Beatles cover band....and a LOT of other bands suddenly changed their whole sound and became Oasis clones. Next to Nirvana, I'd say Oasis were the most influential band of the 90's. Feel free to agree or disagree.

Another point would be that Oasis songs aren't easy for the beginner - lots of pedal points, lots of slash chords.....Rahul, now you've been playing for a while, you might want to take another listen to Oasis, then you might realise how clever and well-written their songs actually are.

Then again, you could make the same argument for Green Day, a band I find totally without any redeeming features whatsoever.....and I've been listening to music - SERIOUSLY listening to music - since I was a little kid about 45 years ago....basically, it's all I've ever cared about.....so let's just chalk this one up to personal taste, eh?
