I just wondered if anyone else had this problem: Sometimes when I play, my fingers get all slippery and sweaty. Just a few minutes ago, I looked at my fretboard and it was all wet from the sweat on my fingers. I know to some you are like...."ew why is he saying this?" but I feel like because of that, my fingers slip off of the strings and cause me to make more errors. Is it just in my head, or does anyone else have this problem too?
I do get hot and sweaty from playing, and i play in a humid enviroment, so what i do is play in the air conditioning or i play with a fan blowing so i don't get so "wet'. Ummm, I also wash my hands in hot soapy water a few minutes before i play cause i have found that this helps cut down on the natural oil's from my fingers and they don't seem to slip and slid to much. Keep a towel handy with you when you play and when this starts happening then wipe of your fret board and strings and then dry your hands.
