Hey I am making a list of songs to play on a acoustic. maybe someone know some songs that I can add to my list:
beatles - you've got to hide your love away
beatles - Here there and everywhere
cat stevens - moonshadow
oasis - wonderwall
eric clapton - wonderfull tonight
eric clapton - tears in heaven
thanks, RHCPfan
I am currently working on Everybody Hurts, by REM. It is a beautiful sounding song on acoustic, with the arpegiated (how do you spell that?!?) chords.
Nice list. Some of my favorites on an acoustic:
Kansas - Dust in the wind
The Beatles - Let it be
Bob Dylan - Knockin' on heaven's door
U2 - One
Scorpions - Holiday
Simon & Garfunkel - Scarborough Fair
Pink Floyd - We wish you were here

Arpeggiated. :P
Thanks, Rahul!
good riddance (time of your life) - Greenday
my immortal (acoustic verison) - Evanesence (there's some vid's of it on Youtube that show the guitar for the whole song too)
heaven (acoustic) - bryan adams (uses the much-neglected Dm chord :) )
Angels - Robbie williams (sounds good but hard to find a tab that is 100%)
She's only happy in the sun - Ben harper
Pete
ETD - Formerly "10141748 - Reincarnate"
good riddance (time of your life) - Greenday
heaven (acoustic) - bryan adams (uses the much-neglected Dm chord :) )
Ah, the saddest of all chords.
While My Guitar Gently Weeps can be lovely on the acoustic--if you've heard Harrison's acoustic demo, for example.
Hendrix's Little Wing--even if you don't play it all fancy and just strum the chords it's still a beautiful song.

Souvenirs - John Prine
Everybodies talkin' - Nilsson
Remember Christmas - Nilsson
Landslide
I have added some more to my list:
America - Horse with no name
Beatles - Blackbird
Limp bizkit - Behind blue eyes
Red hot cili peppers - soul to squeeze
Traditional - Red river valley
homeward bound - simon and garfunkel
kathy's song - paul simon
"Pancho and Lefty" by Townes Van Zandt, I do it in a sorta fingerpick and strum combo fashion.
"John Barley Corn Must Die" Traffic ( song played with capo on seventh fret)
"Cocaine Blues"
Mother - Pink Floyd
Peaceful Easy Feeling - Eagles
Celluloid Heroes - the Kinks
City of New Orleans - Arlo Guthrie
Sister Golden Hair - America
If I claim to be a wise man , it surely means that I don't know .
Try looking as well at some Christy Moore material - things like
Ride on
Back Home in Derry
and if you want a nice easy fingerpicking tune that sounds excellent on an acoustic - try Carrickfergus.

What did the guitarist do when he was told to turn on his amp?
He caressed it softly and told it that he loved it.
Just want to add a brilliant song to this thread -
Lemon Tree - The Brothers Four
Its my uncle's favourite.
