can anyone suggest a song for me to learn?
i don't want a struming song. right now i'm learning blackbird which i like a lot because it's a fingerpicking song, not too easy but not too difficult, recognizable, and is all over the fretboard.
i'm looking for another blackbird. something advanced beginner/intermediate in skill level, recognizable and is fun to play.
thanks. good suggestion but i already know it. which reminds me, i should practice it some more!!!
If you want a challenge try Classical Gas. It is not a real difficult song to get your fingers around but getting it up to speed, now that takes some doin.
Dust in the Wind is a fun song and is based on a picking pattern. Once you get the pattern down its just a matter of some fairly easy chord changes.
Clapton's "Tears in Heaven" is quite nice. There's a relatively easy version in the Easy Songs Database, and somewhat more complex versions around the web, including a good PowerTab.
"Everybody got to elevate from the norm."
I nice little one is the intro (and continued through the song) Greendays - Time of your life...
thanks a lot you guys. i'm going to check some of these out. time of you life i already know, but i'm no sure if i know the introduction. i know the strumming part.
It's a simple pattern based on the chords played in the song...
There's plenty of sites around with it... if you can't find it, PM me and I'll send you my copy.
Needle and the Damage Done is a nice song
"I got a woman, stay drunk all the time!"
-Led Zeppelin-
"Bad Moon Rising" is a pretty easy one (only 3 chords)
and everybody recognises it...still enjoy playing it...
REM - everybody hurts
I have just learnt that (cos I like it) - good fingerpicking practice
