After buying a strap for my electric and seeing how much it helped my playing position, I bought another strap for my acoustic. Only to find out, it has only one strap attachment point at the bottom.

Help me out here, in my ignorance. How can I strap this guitar (it's a Fender Squire Dreadnought)? Or do I need some other acoustic that takes a strap?

Thanks!

you can either use string tied to the end your new strap and tied around the headstock of your guitar, a la dylan (although this apparently puts some strain on the neck, or can do), or you can buy a strap pin and add that to the heel of the guitar's neck. stewmac has a recent article on various places to add strap pins to acoustics and how to go about doing it.

Dur...duh...

I did some searching (as I should have done) and found out about the shoestrings, etc.

Thanks!

No probs mate, I remember one of my early acoustics only had one strap button too, I thought I'd been conned, lol.

Recommend you consider spending a few more US bux on a quick release instead of the shoestring. Most guitar shops carry them.
