Hey folks - I am going to try to learn this song, and was wondering if anyone could give some tips on the strumming pattern. I have seen some tabs around, and most of them say "listen to the song" for the strum pattern, but my ear isn't so fine tuned yet to pick it out (beginner of course). I like the way it is played on the Vedder version.

Hard Sun is a hard song to play. As the pattern changes, after the hammer on intro.
I play it D D+U D+U DD with the hammer ons for the intro...and something similar for the Verse and chorus. Im sorry im a little useless as my capo is dead and i cant actually play it to help anymore...my best suggestion keep listening and playing with the track.
And this song is extreamly hard, but once you figure it out is fun to play.
