Greetings all. I know the chord progressions for "Blowin in the Wind" and "The Times They are A Changin" but am having problems with the strumming pattern. I would like to play these songs in a few months to my class when we study the Vietnam era. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks

Although I can't give you the strumming pattern,
here's a visual that might help you (or someone who can watch the vid and figure it out for you)

And here's one of Dylan with Joan Baez.
It looks like a different (simpler) strumming pattern

Also Clideguitar posted a link to this site that might have it:

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

No guarantee of authenticity, but I use D D DU D for Blowin, sometimes switching to D DU U D in the chorus.

D DU D for Times.

Also I will use the same patterns but first D is a pluck of the root note.

Thanks for your input. I plan on trying out a few of your suggestions this weekend. This has to be the greatest guitar site out there.
