Kind of a strange situation really, but need advice before tommorow.
Just now for my part time work I've being called into a casting audition to be an extra in a video as a guitarist. The only reason I agreed to do so, is that the part did not require any real playing just some/any experience as to fit the role. I think they were much more concerned with the look of the people selected for the video. The problem is, I've still very new at the guitar, I bought a strat & amp a few months ago but due to work/school have yet to learn anything well formally (no full songs) & have just been either messing around getting a feel for the guitar or practicing simple scales.
Since they are asking people to bring there guitars with them if possible to the audition tommorow, I don't want to go without being able to play at least something. Even though this is not really based on any ability per se, im sure it would go a long way and I could use the, quite large sum of money the part would entail. The theme is 70's rock I believe, so aside from the dress which ill need to figure out too i guess, can someone please reccommend a [simple] catchy rock song that I can find the tabs to and learn well enough to not make a complete fool out of myself in the span of 24hours ?
Even though there is a chance I will just be messing around with a unplugged guitar, this still presents a nice challenge / opportunity to get started I think :) I just don't know what would be best to try and learn.
Good luck ;)
Take a look at the beginner songs lesson on this page. There are some very easy ones in there....
Check out David's lesson on "Horse With No Name" the simplest song:

If you have only a day, that would be the one I'd recommend.
Good luck,
