I am a bit confused ... I understand how to put the capo on and such. But I what about my fingering once I put the capo on? If its says (for example ... ) do I count from the first fret from the capo or the normal board?

If the tab says to use a capo it usually means the capo will represent the nut and you count from the capo.
Example: Capo on 2nd fret and you play what you have tabbed you would play 3 frets past the capo on string 1, 2 frets past on string 2, and 1 fret past on string 3.
In reality you are playing
