I have tried other Vox related sites and need some help in achieving a clean bluesy sound for my Vox AD30VT. I have no effects pedals, and have a Schecter 006 Backjack. If an effects pedal would help could anyone recommend one. I am very new to playing electric and just needed some guidance in getting the setting on the amp and guitar just right. Love the blues sound that I heard on the Vox site but it might be an AC30.

Set the amp to emulate the AC30, and then rol back the gain a little to the point at which the sound is just beginning to break up. Should do the job nicely

I use either the black 2x12 and or the tweed settings, with just the slightest touch of gain and emphasizing the pickups up the neck. Give it a shot.
