go to this link.this got some good info for beginners who have questions about reading/understanding tabs.

they also have a software program that will teach you tabs and chords and scales etc. you have to by it though but you do get a 30 day free trial. I'm gonna check this out to see if it's any good. thought i'd share with you all.
