I always enjoy listening to the nuances of Lennon's voice on this song. You can play this with the normal G fingering, but it pays dividends to learn to play it as 320033. That way you can easily shift from G to Cadd9 and back to G by simply moving your index and middle finger down and up one string:

G: 320033
Cadd9: x32033

I included the fingerings I use below the tab solo. Not the only way to do it, but it works for me. Not hard at all. Finally, you can always end the fade-out with a G chord. Hope you enjoy this great song.

A Hard Day's Night - The Beatles

Opening Chord - G7sus4: 353533

Verse 1:

G Cadd9 G F G
It's been a hard day's night, and I've been work-ing like a dog
G Cadd9 G F G
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleep-ing like a log
C D
But when I get home to you, I find the things that you do
G Cadd9 G
Will make me feel al - right

Verse 2:

G Cadd9 G F G
You know I work all day, to get you mon-ey to buy you things
G Cadd9 G F
And it's worth it just to hear you say, you're gonna give me
G
every-thing
C D
So why on earth should I moan, 'cause when I get you alone
G Cadd9 G
You know I'll feel O -- kay.

Chorus:

Bm Em Bm
When I home, everything seems to be right
G Em C D
When I'm home, feeling you holding me tight, tight, yeah
(mmmmmmmm)

Repeat Verse 1 . . . . . . . ahhh!

Looks like a good one shug. I'll have to give it a shot when I get home tonight. 8)

Sorry to be a pain Shug but shouldn't the solo go more like this
E:----------------------------------------------
B:----------------------------------------------
G:----------------------------------------------
D:---------------------------3------3------3----
A:--------1--3--1--3/5---3h5-----3h5----3h5-----
E:--3--3----------------------------------------etc etc etc

I know its the same notes but if you try this I think you will find it much easier. I found it quite hard to play as you have written, this way came much more naturally.

First of all, I assure you, you are not a pain at all!! I welcome and encourage comments and advice from anyone . . . that's what the forum is for and I could use the assistance! (No false humility . . . I mean it!) That being said, what fingers do you use on the A and D strings? I seem to have the opposite results you do  I am finding it easier to basically form an Em shape on the 3rd fret and simply hammer on the ring finger. Help me out. Thanks.

I was in Liverpool in 2010 and the "Hard Days Night" hotel had the Gsus4 chord wrong. They have it written everywhere.
Anyway, a couple weeks I heard they had a fire and it closed down for now. Hope they come back soon!
