Heres my second tab its the brilliant new single by David Gray.

Key of C

Strum pattern dduududduudu (only a suggestion)

THE ONE I LOVE

Gonna(C) close my eyes
Gonna(G) watch you go
Runing(F) through this life, darling
Like a(C) field of snow

As the(C) tracer glides
And its(G) graceful arc
Send a(F) littleprayer up to you
Cross the(G) falling dark

Tell the(F) repo man
And the(Dm) stars above
That you're the(C) one I love yeah

Perfect(C) summers night
Not(G) awind or breeze
Just the(F) bullets whispering gentle
Amongst the(C) new green leaves

These things I(C) might of said
Only(G) wish I could
Now I'm(F) leaking life faster than(C) leaking blood

Tell the(F) repo man
And the(Dm) stars above
That you're the(C) one I love
You're the(G) one I love
The(F) one I love

Am F Am F Am F

Don,t see(C) elysium
Don't see no(G) fiery hell
Just the(F) lights all bright, baby
in the(C) big hotel

Next wave(C) coming in
Like an(G) ocean rock
Won,t you(F) take my hand, darling
on that(C) old dance floor

We can(F) twist and shout
Do the(Dm) turtle dove
And you're the(C) one I love
You're thje one(G) I love
The(F) one I love he he

Am F AM F he he

Am F -Finish C

Any criticism or change in strum pattern gratefully accepted....!

The only thing that keeps me from realising my full potential is the depressing awareness that it wouldn't take much time or effort...

I just heard this song on XM for the first time ... never heard of the artist before, but the song sounds great. Reminds me of Mike Scott (ex Waterboys). Thanks for posting it!

Check out "Babylon", David Hodge's brilliant lesson in Songs For Intermediates on this site.

David Gray has been big over here in UK for a few years now. "Babylon" is from his White Ladder album and was his first big hit.

Cheers,

Chris

The guitar is all right John but you'll never make a living out of it! (John Lennon's Aunt Mimi)

It was the song of the week on iTunes a while back. Even came with a short video of him playing the song in his church studio. Old church in London
