You should hear "flood" by jars of clay.......sweet guitar riff.....just a capo on the third fret....and some chords....sweet song.

That's probably the only song most folks have heard from Jars, though they have a decent selection of okay stuff. I've played a song or two by them, I get bored of them though, nothing exceptional about the band or their songwriting. Most of their stuff sounds pretty different than "Flood".

Do something you love and you'll never work a day in your life...

I was just sifting through this forum and came across this thread.

For those who are interested in playing Flood, here's how I've always done it.

Capo 3
Asus2 X02200
F* X03210
G* X05430
Em 022000

That seems to be both the chorus and verse.

The struming is a little hard to pick up on, so you'll just have to sound it out as you play. The verses use some palm-muting right at the chord transitions. And the one chord that is held out at the end of the chorus is the Asus2.

Enjoy!

If you're enjoying it, are you still a struggling artist??
