Not sure where to post this. Looking for some easy power chord songs to learn. any suggestions?
Almost every song. Just dump all unwanted notes.
A lot of Black Sabbath songs are simple...Paranoid, Iron Man, etc.. As well as MANY songs from that era (1970's-80's).
Here is one I posted earlier https://www.guitarnoise.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=23923

to get you started i suggest you to try "Stand by me" played with power chords like in John Lennon's version
Chord changes goes like this:
A 2 measures
F# 2 measures
D 1 measure
E 1 measure
and repeat in loop
rhythm patterns: straight eight note downstrum and trying to mute some of them
Otherwise play a 12-bar blues in E with power chords like this
E5, A5, E5 (2 measures), A5 (2 measures), E5 (2 measures), b5 (1 measure), A5, E5, B5
you could also play a song you like and re-arrange it with power-chords

The easy version of Louie, Louie by the Kingsmen - A, D, E powerchords.

Louie, Louie; Twist and Shout (the Beatles); and "Wild Thing" are more or less interchangeable--just slightly different rhythms.
Brain Stew - Green Day
D-7-7------5-5-----4-4-----1-1--2-2
A-7-7------5-5-----4-4-----1-1--2-2
E-5-5------3-3-----2-2-----3-3--0-0
Over and over and over... The ultimate grage band song.
Wild Thing is one of those songs that just begs for distortion.
